"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela
Learning takes place in a natural environment designed to feel like a home away from home. We offer age appropriate toys, games, and music provided to generate development and curiosity. We encourage exploration and play to build and strengthen bonds between teacher and child.
We use creative activities and group interactions to generate interest in learning and strengthen social skills as well as focus importance on language and expression. Learning takes place in both indoors and outdoors which encourages self-esteem and improves coordination. We emphasize relationship building between teacher and child to promote smooth transitioning from home to Comfy Cape.
At Comfy Cape Daycare we provide a curriculum that promotes educational, developmental and social growth. We not only teach the ABCs and 1, 2, 3s but also positive social interactions, problem-solving skills, and self-regulations. We take pride in communicating closely with parents to meet all individual needs.
We have circle time every morning. During circle time, we go over the letter, number, shape, and color of the week. We also go over the date where children learn their days of the week and months of the year. We have a weekly theme, and we include discussions based on this theme as well as songs and books. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are curriculum based activities that include early literature and writing skills, early math skills and art. Tuesdays and Thursdays we do enrichment activities that include science, cooking, gross motor skills, and music.
At Comfy Cape Child Care, our primary goal is to challenge all of our children to grow and develop properly. We pride ourselves on introducing our children to new opportunities for learning, and personal and social development.
